This two-day certification course introduces the foundational principles of spinal health, fascial function, posture, and human performance through the ELDOA® method and fascial-based movement strategies.

Designed for exercise professionals, physical therapists, performance coaches, athletic training staff, personal trainers, strength and conditioning coaches, Pilates instructors, yoga teachers, chiropractors, massage therapists, and movement specialists, this course provides a practical framework for understanding how the spine and fascial system influence movement quality, recovery, athletic performance, and long-term structural balance.

ELDOA® of the Spine

ELDOA® (Longitudinal Osteo-Articular Decoaptation Stretching) is a system of osteopathic exercises developed by Guy VOYER, DO, that utilizes precise postures to create decompression at specific spinal segments while improving fascial tension balance throughout the body.

The ELDOA® of the Spine course serves as the foundation of the ELDOA® education system and focuses on the anatomy, biomechanics, and function of the vertebral column. Participants learn how spinal positioning, fascial tension, breathing mechanics, and posture influence movement efficiency, force transmission, recovery, and overall performance.

Through both theory and practical application, students will learn specific ELDOA® exercises designed for each region of the spine while developing an understanding of segmental spinal mechanics, postural organization, and the relationship between the spine and the fascial system.

Participants will learn the fascial relationships that connect the body as an integrated system before progressing deeper into the anatomy and biomechanics of the spine. These principles provide the foundation for understanding biotensegrity—the body’s balance of tension and compression—and how it influences posture, movement, recovery, and performance.

Through this framework, students will discover how the fascial system influences spinal alignment, force transmission, mobility, and overall structural organization. Participants will learn how specific ELDOA® exercises can create space within the vertebral segments and joints, improve spinal alignment, optimize the health and function of the fascia, and enhance the body’s ability to adapt to the demands of daily life, sport, and training.

By understanding the body through the lens of biotensegrity, participants gain a practical system for improving movement quality, reducing compensatory patterns, enhancing recovery, and supporting long-term structural health and human performance.

Participants Will Learn:

  • Functional anatomy and biomechanics of the spine
  • Fascial relationships and force transmission throughout the body
  • Principles of biotensegrity and structural organization
  • Principles of spinal decompression and joint spacing
  • Postural analysis and body organization
  • Breathing mechanics and stabilization strategies
  • Segmental ELDOA® exercises for the spine
  • Applications for fitness, rehabilitation, recovery, and athletic performance

Participants will leave with practical tools that can be immediately applied to improve posture, movement quality, mobility, recovery, and performance.

Fascial Performance

The Fascial Performance portion of this course explores how the fascial system contributes to movement, force transmission, stability, mobility, and athletic performance. Participants will learn to view the body as an interconnected system rather than a collection of individual muscles.

Through a combination of osteopathic concepts, movement-based exercises, and fascial training techniques, students will develop a deeper understanding of how tension is distributed throughout the body and how the fascial system influences posture, coordination, and performance.

This section focuses on restoring balance within the body’s connective tissue network while improving movement efficiency, mobility, resilience, and force production.

Participants Will Learn:

  • The anatomy and function of fascia
  • Fascial chains and force transmission throughout the body
  • Tensegrity and structural organization
  • Movement quality and fascial integration
  • Mobility development through fascial principles
  • Breathing, posture, and performance
  • Strategies to improve recovery and movement efficiency
  • Practical applications for fitness, rehabilitation, Pilates, and sports performance

Participants will gain a practical understanding of how to assess movement through a fascial lens and apply exercises that enhance performance, reduce compensatory patterns, and improve overall body organization.

Certification

Upon successful completion of the course, participants will receive the ELDOA® Level 1 Certification – Fundamentals of the Spine and become a Certified ELDOA® Practitioner.

This certification demonstrates competency in the foundational principles of ELDOA®, including spinal decompression, postural organization, fascial mechanics, and the application of segment-specific ELDOA® exercises to improve movement quality, recovery, and human performance.

Certified ELDOA® Practitioners leave the course with a practical understanding of spinal function and the ability to confidently integrate ELDOA® exercises into fitness, rehabilitation, wellness, and performance-based environments.
