ELDOA is the active use of reinforcement exercise movements, myofacial stretches and posture techniques which aim to increase the space between joints and lengthening the spine.

ELDOA COURSE CALENDER 2017/2018

  • ELDOA 1

    ELDOA 1 is an introduction to the practice of ELDOA training. In this 2 day course you will cover the anatomy and basic biomechanics of the spine. Through this you will better understand the functionality of the benefits of ELDOA. You will focus on 4 classic ELDOA positions that are used most commonly in fitness and therapy practice to help improve function & alignment of the spine, correct spinal pathologies (stenosis to herniation), and pain management. Lastly, you will learn how to apply these techniques in your practice through clinical application. It is suggested to review all spinal anatomy, basic function of the spine, and general pathologies. It is also suggested to bring case studies with you to ask questions to better learn clinical application. The goal of this course is meant to teach the fundamentals of the ELDOA practice and be able to educate in a small intimate setting to refine you skills of teaching clients and patients proper form and technique.

    Course Outline

    The new ELDOA 1 course in the reformatted 6-level ELDOA program is designed for the student-practitioner with minimal or NO formal training in classic spine biomechanics or descriptive anatomy. Lecture topics include:

    • The History of the ELDOA, Guy VOYER, DO & His Educational Paradigm-“Learn by Doing”,
    • The Spine: A Complex Multi-purposeful Structure – Mobility vs. Stability
    • Introduction to Kinesiology and General Anatomy
    • Functional Spine Unit of Jungians
    • The Role of the Intervertebral Disc
    • The Medical Approach to Back Pain vs. the ELDOA
    • The Philosophy of the ELDOA, “You Are Your Own Best Therapist.”

    ELDOA 1 is the foundation for the ELDOA program. A significant portion of the course is devoted to the practical application of the most commonly used ELDOA exercises. A mastery of the anatomy and biomechanics at this level is not necessary. It is more important that student-practitioners begin to think, “How is it possible to do a movement for this region?”

  • ELDOA 2

    The ELDOA 2 lectures will cover in-depth anatomy and physiology of the fascia, spine, pelvis, shoulder complex and skull, as well as the process, organization and benefits of the ELDOA Exercises. This three day course practical portions consists of the precise practice and application for specific ELDOAs of the Spine, Pelvis, Shoulder Girdle, Skull and more.

    Designed for Therapists, Trainers, and Health Practitioners, Dr. VOYER’s ELDOA 2 Course will approve you to prescribe the ELDOA Exercises for patients and clients upon completion.

    Prerequisite: ELDOA 1

  • ELDOA 3

    The focus of ELDOA 3 is the ribcage and sternum, shoulder complex, and coxo femoral joint.  This three day course consist of a review of ELDOA 1 and 2, in combination with the ELDOA 3 anatomical focus.

    The anatomy used is the classic descriptive anatomy of the aforementioned structures in combination with Kapandji biomechanics.

Bryce Turner

Co-owner

Bryce Turner is a statewide recognized Fitness Practitioner from the CHEK Institute, fitness coach, Holistic Lifestyle Coach, Golf Biomechanics Specialist, personal trainer and a body worker. He is the co-founder of Beach Fitness in Seal Beach, CA, a world-class facility that provides personal training, strength and conditioning, therapeutic massage and bodywork, Pilates, yoga, nutrition, ELDOA, and chiropractic programs. Bryce held the honor title City of Seal Beach Businessman of the Year 2010.

His gym, Beach Fitness, was named Small Business of the Year for the 35th district of Orange County in 2010 and 2011. Beach Fitness also appeared on OC’s Top 10 Hot List, and attracts many fitness enthusiasts of all ages, shapes, sizes, and levels who want to improve their overall health and fitness performance. His team of 17 trainers, coaches, and therapists deliver results to over 200 clients weekly.

In 2016, Beach Fitness expanded and now hosts LINK Medical Chiropractic and Leaf & Needle Massage Therapy as well as nutritional coaching, life coaching, other therapeutic modalities and retail shop area.

Bryce earned his B.A. from UC Santa Cruz in Physical Anthropology.  Due to his background as an avid fitness enthusiast and athlete, he concentrated in the field of Physical Therapy and Exercise Science.  At one point, his ambition of attending physical therapy school was replaced by a more comprehensive approach to health via personal training in 2004. In 2006, Bryce opened Beach Fitness®, Inc. with Barbara Bartee.

Bryce is a perpetual student of life and health and continues to learn by exploring several philosophies and practices in the health and fitness industry.  His journey continued from his undergraduate experience through the CHEK Institute where he has completed certifications as an Exercise Coach, Level 3 Holistic Lifestyle Coach, Golf Biomechanics Specialist and a Level 2 Practitioner.  In 2009, he and his partner grew Beach Fitness® business to add group fitness.  This addition further diversified his education into Olympic lifting as he completed certifications as CrossFit Level 1 coach and a USA Weightlifting Performance Coach.

Since 2012, he has been studying under the world renowned Osteopath Dr. Guy Voyer DO.  He graduated from the SomaTraining™ and  SomaTherapy™ programs in 2016.  In 2014, under the guidance and tutelage of Dr. Voyer DO, Bryce entered into the Osteopath program at Southerland University in Montreal, Canada.  Because of his advanced level, Bryce is one of a very elite few in the USA, of approved ELDOA instructors, offering educational courses for advanced level trainers, therapists, and practitioners.  He has also completed Dynamic Neuromuscular Stimulation (DNS) Sport 1 & 2 from the Prague Rehabilitation Institute.  

Bryce has excelled in training all levels of clients and professional athletes helping them improve function, strength, conditioning, and performance.  He facilitates complete and intensive fitness assessments; created Beach Fitness'® healthy lifestyle and nutrition program, and corrective therapy programs at Beach Fitness®.  His goals are to teach, motivate, and work clients to surpass their goals while reaching balance and longevity in life.

His specialties include Fitness, Rehabilitation, Diet & Nutrition, Life Coaching, Stress Management, Sports Performance, Fitness Industry Consulting, Professional Education Seminars, fitness marketing, public speaking and specialty programs for fitness insiders and clients alike.
He and his wife, Annika, reside in Long Beach, CA, with their three children, James, Jade, and William.
